GameTree is a friend-finding app built around one idea: compatibility matters more than proximity. When a user signs up, they move through a personality-driven onboarding flow that captures their gaming preferences, playstyle, and values — then uses that data to surface matches who are genuinely compatible, not just nearby and online.
At the core of the experience is an AI matching engine that gets smarter over time. The more a user engages, the more refined their matches become — turning a first-session recommendation into a long-term system that actually learns who you click with. The design challenge was making that intelligence feel approachable and personal, not algorithmic and cold.
The platform spans every major gaming category — video games, tabletop, and everything in between — across all platforms. Our work focused on bringing coherence to that breadth: a design system flexible enough to serve a PC gamer looking for a squad and a board game enthusiast looking for a weekly crew, all within the same product language.
